Asiri Perera

Asiri Perera is the Founder and President of Perera Builders, a company specializing in construction and real estate development. He has had a long and successful career in the construction industry, with experience working for nationally recognized general contractors in Los Angeles, including Swinerton Builders and Bernards Builders.

During his career, Asiri has held various roles within the construction industry, starting in the field and eventually transitioning to working with upper management in job site trailers. This diverse experience has given him a deep understanding of the complexities of the construction field.

Some of his notable achievements include managing multiple high-value projects, such as $100 million dollar projects, including managing multiple teams to coordinate complex multi-family development projects. He has been involved in the construction of nearly 2,000 apartment units, three high-rise luxury apartments, two LAUDS campuses, $6 million in tenant improvement projects, and a boutique hotel project, totaling over $1 billion in construction value. One of his projects, One Santa Fe, received recognition as a "2015 Best Projects" by Engineering News-Record (ENR) under the Best Office/Retail/Mixed-Use Project category.

At Perera Builders, Asiri has worked on various projects, including ground-up single-family builds, accessory dwelling units, and complex large projects, both conventional and modular. He has also represented developers and clients as construction managers and served as a project manager for other general contractors. Additionally, he has acted as an expert witness in various litigation cases related to construction.

Before entering the construction industry, Asiri worked as a City Planner, where he gained experience in processing entitlements for approval by Elected and Appointed City Officials.

Asiri Perera holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning with a minor in Business Management from the University of California, Irvine. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Southern California. His educational background in urban planning and construction management has undoubtedly contributed to his success in the construction and real estate development industry.
